Proper Protein Pizza
This ain’t no supermarket ”protein” pizza
Equipment
- Whisk Either use an electric whisk or get prepared to burn some calories whisking the egg whites
- Pizza Tray Or other baking tray
Ingredients
Pizza Base
- 125 ml Liquid Egg Whites I use Two Chick Liquid Egg Whites. Use 4 large egg whites if you don’t have liquid egg whites.
- 1/2 tbsp Cornflour
- Mixed Italian Herbs and Garlic (Optional)
Toppings
- 100 ml Pizza Sauce
- 50 g Grated Mozzarella
- 30 g Grated Half Fat Cheddar
Optional Toppings
- 3 slices Wafer Thin Chicken
- 2 Unsmoked Bacon Medallions
Instructions
Pizza Base
- Whisk the egg whites and cornflour (and any seasoning) until the whites form stiff peaks.
- Line a pizza (or other baking) tray with parchment paper.
- Spread the egg whites onto the parchment, approximately half an inch.
- Bake in the oven at 180c for 15 minutes or until brown and firm (If they look done they’re done).
Toppings
- Grill the bacon medallions. (Don’t overcook them as they’ll be going in the oven.)
- Chop bacon and chicken.
- Spread Pizza Sauce over the base.
- Sprinkle cheese. (Toppings before cheese is WRONG)
- Spread Toppings.
- Place pizza in oven until cheese is melted to preference.
- Eat. Enjoy. Thank me later.
