Weigh-In 20th October 2025

329.8lbs

Down 3.7lbs, I can’t lie, I’m pretty pleased with that. So I now have just under 30lbs to go in roughly 11 weeks to be under 300lbs by the new year, which works out to 2.73lbs per week, which should be doable.

But…. Between now and the new year we have a day over to Blackpool to meet up with my family and go for a meal, so that will be a bad diet day. Next up there is Vikki’s birthday, which will probably be a takeaway and some birthday cake. Then to end the year strong we have my favourite meal of the year, Christmas dinner, and is it even Christmas if you don’t have a few treats in, maybe a tin of roses and some biscuits. Add to those treats a glass or two of snowball and the diet is taking a real battering. So I’m being realistic about it, chances are there will still be a 3 at the start of the number on the scales on 1st of January, but there’s no harm in aiming for it.

As I’ve said before, since stopping the Mounjaro I am definitely finding it harder to stick to a low calorie number. On top of that, I’m trying to do all the right things, get a good amount of protein in, try to get the right amount of fibre, and that is bloody difficult. So all there is to do is up the calories and up the work load. On our gym days I am making sure to hit at least 1000 calories burned through activity, though I am generally hitting around 1200, which includes 1.5mile walks with Darby which take us a little under an hour, I know, slow, blame the one walking with his nose glued to the floor for that.

This week is going to be tough, we already had a bad start because I messed up the planned tea by not defrosting something and shopping comes today so the options were basically non-existent, you know where this is going, we ended up with pizza, and a few extras. Then a trip over to Blackpool, which will be something decent before we hit the road, a cone of chips for lunch because who wants to go to the seaside and not get some chips, then meeting up with the family and off to an all you can eat buffet for tea. The illuminations don’t really do it for me, but maybe it will be worth seeing just for the sake of the walk and burning off some calories, fingers crossed it isn’t raining.

Anyway, long story short, I’m under 330 which I know isn’t any sort of milestone but it still feels pretty good. Add to that I finally managed to get into a football shirt at the weekend that Vikki had bought for me a while ago and wasn’t even close to fitting when she got it. Yay.
