Weigh-In 17th November 2025

336.4lbs

Hear me out. I’ve been M.I.A for a while because in all honesty it’s been a bloody busy time. We’ve still been going to the gym, we’ve still been eating well, with a few exceptions, but trying to find the time and the motivation to write has been a struggle with so much going on.

So it was Vikki’s birthday at the weekend, and that explains the weight gain. We celebrated, a lot. We had Friday Night Date Night at one of our favourite places and ate there, and as much as I love the place and the food is great they’re not offering protein pizzas. Speaking of pizza, Saturday was a family trip out to the Pizza Hut Buffet, not exactly top of the nutritionists list. Then Sunday, the big day, there was Maccies breakfast, then party food for the rest of the day. All in all, terrible for the waistline but there are some things more important, like giving Vikki an amazing birthday weekend.

On top of the weekend, there’s been the stress of arranging everything, we’ve been out to the theatre for a Christmas show in November… we had a day trip to Blackpool to meet up with family, and then there have been all the usual stresses (KIDS!). Taking everything into account I’m not surprised by the number on the scales.

Anyway, we’ve dealt with a lot of the cravings, so we can keep strong between now and Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, I can finally say it, we’re off to Paris for a quick break, and will be spending New Year’s Eve at Disneyland, which means we’ll be on a plane in less than 6 weeks, so the main concern now is making sure I avoid the belt of shame. I’m a long way from where I was when we went to Egypt so I’m pretty confident, but we’re flying Air France and I don’t know how generous they are with seat and belt sizes, so time to treat it like a 5 week boot camp to make sure I can enjoy my Christmas dinner because the last thing I want to do is ask Google what “can I have the fat belt please?” is in French.
