I’ll be honest, I’ve had a few days off lately, as the diary will show. Fortunately they have been days off and not off days. I haven’t gone off the rails, I’ve just not blogged for a few days and not stressed about it. Honestly, when you are doing things like going to the seaside and have chippy whilst looking out to sea for lunch it is kind of difficult to track calories. Sure, I could make an approximation, but it was a lot more enjoyable to just be able to eat my meal without worrying how many calories each bite was.
Anyway, as I said, I haven’t gone off the rails, I have still tried to make sensible decisions, for example Danish bread rather than a standard white sliced loaf, bacon medallions rather than standard back bacon, etc, I just haven’t been stressing about things like I was leading up to my birthday. Obviously I could have made some effort to track my calories, but in all honesty it has been nice to be a bit more relaxed, and I am now feeling mentally refreshed with regards to my diet and exercise and can now get back to it, back to tracking and back to keeping a record of everything.
