Bolognese Potato Bake
A hearty meal for those cold winter nights (or any other night, it’s so yummy)
Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken Mince I use Heck Chicken Italia mince
- 500 g Passata I prefer Heinz Passata with Basil, but any will do
- 50 g Grated Mozzarella
- 300 g Potato Slices I use Asda Crispy & Golden Potato Slices
- Paprika and Garlic seasoning Optional
Instructions
- Cook the mince in a frying pan using a 1 cal spray (or similar oil substitute)
- Add the passata to the chicken, mix well and leave to simmer for a few minutes. Add seasoning.
- Pour chicken and passata mix into a small(ish) oven dish.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella.
- Lay the potato slices in a single layer, covering the chicken as best you can.
- (Optional) Brush the potato slices with smoky paprika.
- Place in the oven at 180c for 20 minutes.

634 calories. 22.7grams of fat. 54.6 grams of protein. This meal is an absolute favourite of ours, especially with the winter months coming. Can serve with various veg to up the nutrition value. At a mere 634 calories this meal genuinely feels like a glitch in the matrix because it is a lot more filling than you would think for a “diet” meal.
